When you've just had enough of your job, it is best that you head out the door and never return.Well, that wouldn't normally make big headlines, but when "woman quits job" is trending around the world, then you know you did it right. As E Online! showed on Oct. 1, 2013, one woman quit her job with a video of her doing an interpretive dance to a song by Kanye West.
Marina Shifrin is a 25-year-old that used to work for Next Media Animation in Taiwan, and she thought her company was "awesome," but not so much, her boss. Shifrin took it upon herself to create a video that would deliver a clear-cut message to everyone.
Quotes from the video state:
"My boss only cares about quantity and how many views each video gets...I believe it's more important to focus on the quality of the content."
The video shows Shifrin dancing around the entire office as she put a Kanye West song over top of it. She was in an empty office, but that was nothing new to her.
Reports say that Shifrin worked all hours of the night and was called in numerous times for work even though she had worked more than her fair share that week. Some state she never even got a lunch break. Even though all this happened to her, she just wanted to deliver her message.
"I understood that it was a risk, but I never named the company or my boss and I mean, have you seen my dancing? How can anyone take that seriously," she said.
She now has plans of moving back to the United States and looking for a job that actually values their employees and their creativity.
