Woman poses with dead 10-foot shark in Australia, photo goes viral

A woman in Australia asked her friend to snap a photo of her as she hopped on top of a dead 10-foot shark that had washed up on shore. According to a video report by HuffPost Live, the woman was seen straddling the copper shark on Marcoola Beach just north of Brisbane.

After the photos popped up online, marine wildlife officials sent out a warned beach goers to "keep their distance" even if they think the shark appears to be dead -- you just never know. There is always a chance that a shark washed up on shore is alive and could still be dangerous.

Naturally people like to take advantage of situations like this -- because while it is dangerous, it is still pretty cool. Well, maybe not the straddling part -- but just getting up close and personal with a shark (even if it is dead) is something that not many people get to experience in their lifetime.
