Woman marries twin sister's killer. A report posted today at Christian Post says an Argentina "woman marries her twin sister's convicted killer," and the girls family is outraged.
Sources say neighbors and family were against the wedding, and the brides mother even tried to legally prevent the nuptials, but 23-year-old Edith Casas married Victor Cingolani, 28, at a civil registry office on Thursday.
A mob of neighbors gathered outside to throw eggs and rocks, but the couple were not deterred from becoming husband and wife. The groom was immediately transported back to prison, where he is serving a 13-year- sentence for the murder of Johana Salas in 2010.
Even more bizarre is the fact that Cingolani is the ex-boyfriend of Edith's twin Johana, though he claims he and Johana broke up before he started dating Edith. Cingolani insists he is innocent of the committing the murder of Edith's twin sister, and says he will be cleared on appeal.
Casas, who waited in the civil registry office for hours until the mob of people dispersed, also claims her new husband is innocent.
Meanwhile the bride's mother says her daughter is insane and attempted to have a judge prevent the wedding, but the judge said Edith was capable of making her own decisions.
"I've always said that she is threatened by the Cingolani family; I'm afraid that something might happen to her because he is a killer and a manipulator," says her mother.
Dating the ex-boyfriend of ones sister is already bad enough, but marrying him after he is convicted of killing her is extreme. It seems she could have at least waited to find out the results of the appeal.
