According to Monday's CBS Pittsburgh, a small dog has been left without a guardian after a woman jumped to her death from the Fort Duquesne bridge in Pittsburgh, Pa. The dog was left inside of a car which was parked on the bridge.

Today, the Animal Rescue League is hoping to locate a friend or surviving family member who is willing and able to take the now homeless dog into their home.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Animal Rescue League at 412-345-7300.

According to Monday's Post-Gazette, the medical examiner identified the deceased woman as 46-year-old Melissa Shandor of Lawrenceville.
