Woman forced to call 911 when Terrell Owens refuses to leave her doorstep

Terrell Owens has been accused of some strange behavior in the past, but Friday morning's incident may have been the strangest. The former great NFL wide receiver refused to leave the doorstep of an unknown woman, continuing to bang on the door for three hours -- until authorities showed up.

The woman told Los Angeles, Calif., police she was not afraid of Owens -- which in and of itself is somewhat strange, considering that he wouldn't leave and that the esrtwhile pro player is listed at 6'3" and 224 pounds on Wikipedia. Her main issue -- considering it was 4:30 a.m. -- was that she wanted him to leave.

Police gave Owens the message -- which apparently had more oomph than the woman telling him through the door herself -- and he left.

Indeed, it was strange behavior.

Terrell Owens is a six-time Pro Bowl member (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007), a five-time All-Pro player (2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2007), and a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team. It's expected he will be a strong contender for acceptance into the NFL Hall of Fame.

His last appearance in a pro football game of any type was during the 2012 preseason. He played for the Seattle Seahawks during and caught two passes for 41 yards. He was signed on Aug. 6 and released on Aug. 26. His last regular season game was in 2010 with the Bengals.
