Woman dies on plane: 25-year-old's body being examined

A woman died on plane on a flight from Brazil to Texas. On Jan. 2, My Fox Dallas-Fort Worth reported that the 25-year-old's body was taken to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to be examined. At this point, it is unclear what happened to the woman, but authorities say that her body did not appear to be traumatized in any way. More details are expected to be released soon.

There were 200 passengers and 14 crew members on the Boeing 777. The American Airlines aircraft was diverted to Houston after leaving Sao Paulo, Brazil. The young woman was pronounced dead on the plane.

The woman who died on the plane could have had a heart attack or could have had an adverse reaction to medication. The body acts differently when up in the air versus on the ground and there are a slew of things that could have happened to this woman. While she was very young and things like this aren't overly common (when compared to how many flights depart each day), there is a chance that this woman died of natural causes.

The woman's name has not yet been released. After her body was removed from the aircraft, the flight continued to its destination. The plane landed safely at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport at 10:30 a.m.

It is unclear where the woman who died on a plane today was traveling to. It is also unknown where she was from.
