Woman critical following east side hit and run

A 28-year-old woman is in critical condition after being struck by a car early Saturday morning. WDIV-4 broke the story.

The incident occurred at about 1:00 AM Saturday at Algonquin St and East Forest Ave on the city’s east side.

The victim had been engaged in an argument with someone when she was struck by a car.

According to WDIV-4, the car was being driven by a 27-year-old black woman.

The driver left the scene of the accident.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and, as of Saturday night, was listed in critical condition.

Anyone having information about this occurrence is urged to call the Detroit police or Crime Stoppers, (800) SPEAK UP.
