On Wednesday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Jennifer Marie Vargas, 34, after she, in a fit of rage, reportedly snatched her 6-year-old son by his genitals, which resulted in a nearly complete tear in the young boy's scrotum.
Rather than taking the boy for medical treatment, Vargas "applied superglue to the (boy's) scrotum until the bleeding stopped, stuffed his underwear with paper towels, and then told him to go to bed," according to court documents."
The attack occurred on September 27, at the family's home on Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston.
Later, when the boy’s father, a U. S. Army Specialist came home, he found the child crying and in pain in an upstairs bedroom...
The affidavit stated that he rushed his son to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where the child underwent surgery.
Vargas has been charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury, and is currently being held without bond.
Vargas is due in U. S. District Court on Monday for a detention hearing.
