Many people stop along Interstate 70 at Genesee Park in the summer to view the herd of buffalo that lives in that area. (Read more about the buffalo herd here.)

But sometimes, buffalo-viewers get a little too close or even decide to crawl over the wildlife fencing to get a better photograph or view of the beautiful bison.

The following video, taped in Yellowstone National Park, serves as a reminder that, while buffalo seem mostly peaceful, they can get agitated and become a danger. (And remember, when a buffalo charges, a wire fence like the one at Genesee is not always going to stop it.)

While the Genesee buffalo are cute... they're still wild animals. Just like Binky the polar bear and the Australian tourist, wild animals can attack at any time!

Wow, yes, stupid move. At least it sounds like she learned from the experience. And she was incredibly lucky to just get some bruises!

I watch people in Estes Park do the same thing with the elk. They just have to be closer then anyone else and I just stand back and wait for the animal to stomp them.

They are beautiful animals and look docile; but they are wild animals!
