A Chandler woman managed to get herself arrested Sunday night, Jan. 7 for threatening to kill her husband because they “stopped having sex.” The woman had initially contacted the police department that night because she was upset with her husband.
Gloria Pratt, 53, was upset with her husband when she decided to call 911 Sunday night. The unhappy couple had only been married for two short years.
Officers responding to the 911 call found Pratt intoxicated and she related to them that her husband “stopped having sex” with her. The officers kindly informed Gloria Pratt that as far as they could tell, neither she nor her husband had committed any crime.
Officers wished them all the best on their lack of sex and left home. As they were walking away from the home less than a minute later, officers watched Pratt through the living room window.
Pratt was screaming at her husband to “do something” while he was lying innocently laying on the couch. They then heard her yell, “I’m going to kill you.”
Turning around quickly the officers knocked on the front door. When Gloria Pratt opened the door, officers detained her.
Pratt was arrested and booking into the Fourth Avenue Jail on suspicion of disorderly conduct, domestic violence and threats-domestic violence as stated in the court document.
Gloria Pratt’s response to the arrest, she reportedly told police that her husband “would get what was coming to him now.”
