Woman allegedly tries to sell newborn... twice

See also

A woman from Elizabethtown, Kentucky has been accused of trying to sell her newborn... twice. The woman needed money for "court costs" and other legal fees for a first degree possession of a controlled substance (are you surprised?).

The woman offered to sell the child for $5,000 but was turned down. She had no other choice but to ask a relative for help -- but the relative took the information she was told and went to police. The woman reportedly adopted the baby in Nov. but wanted to "get rid of her" -- she wanted to transfer guardianship to someone else.

The woman has two other children and they (along with the infant) have been placed in protective services. They are all living together in the same foster home while this case is worked out. Their mother has been charged with selling or purchasing a child for adoption. This is truly an unbelievable story... but desperate people tend to do desperate things. More on this in the video above.
