Woman accused of almost decapitating Clover arrested

On January 6th, the story of Clover was published here.  Left with a plastic rope to saw into his neck on a twisted chain tied to a pole, starving, emaciated, freezing and sick, Clover had been seized from the home where his entire 1-1/2 years of life had been torture.

Compassionate veterinarians and a foster family did everything they could to save Clover.  They named him Clover, because they felt he was a lucky dog to have been rescued from his abuse thanks to the courage of a compassionate good samaritan who had called in and reported what could be seen when looking through the fence of that yard.

Clover tried hard to fight for life, but he had been almost decapitated by the rope that had carved into his neck, bringing on a raging systemic infection from tetanus, which ended his short and agonized life.

Sadly, Clover was the second dog seized from this same home because of animal neglect and abuse in less than a year.

Rosalba Flores, the woman accused of the torture of innocent Clover was arrested on January 5th and remains behind bars, charged with felony animal cruelty.  The maximum sentence she can receive is 5 years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.  (Source.)

If you haven’t already signed the petition seeking justice for Clover, please consider doing so now.  Please network the petition so that advocates from everywhere can send a clear message that this type of torture will not be tolerated any longer.  You can access it here, or at the link provided below.

Clover suffered immense pain from the neck wounds, hunger and loneliness for what is believed to be his entire life.  In death, he needs a voice to bring to justice the woman who turned her back on this innocent and precious life, and because of that neglect and torture, ultimately killed him.
