A 46-year-old woman could barely stand when she got behind the wheel of her car while she was allegedly drunk and drove to a toy store with her young daughter, police said.
She was arrested Wednesday after someone called to report her.
Ms. Celeste Napier, of First Leaf, was charged with DUI child endangerment, DUI, open container and drunk or disorderly conduct, according to Peachtree City police.
Shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to Shenanigan's Toys at 100 North Peachtree Pkwy. after getting a report of a woman who was having trouble keeping her balance because she had been drinking, according to the police report.
The caller also said the woman had a child with her.
When officers arrived the found the woman in the parking lot of Peachtree Crossings with the child.
Investigators said the woman had driven to the incident location with her child while under the influence of alcohol.
The woman was arrested and transported to the Fayette County jail. And the child was turned over to her father, police said.
