A woman had 15k in plastic surgery for selfies that she posts online. Triana Lavey, 38, a talent agent in LA for uFluencer Group, wanted to change her look. She had the Photoshopped-version of her face cosmetically enhanced to look the way she thought she should.
“I now have the face that I always thought that I had,” Lavey said. Canada Journal reported April 26 that the woman felt having $15k plastic surgery procedures was the right decision.
“I look like myself, but Photoshopped," Lavey added. "Your social media presence is just as important as your real-life presence. It’s a legitimate form of promoting yourself."
This might seem incredibly vain, but then again Lavey is in the type of business that is focused primarily on looks. It just comes off a bit more bizarre since she went through all of that work so she would look better in "selfies." Lavey underwent a two-hour surgery in 2012. She wanted to modify her "weak chin" and had nose jobs. There was fat grafting in the procedure as well.

This woman who had $15k in plastic surgery for selfies also gets regular Botox injections. She said, “Botox to me is a necessity. It’s kind of like in my bills like rent, food, gasoline, medical insurance . . . [then] Botox.”
CNET posted a blip of the story with the all-too important quote Lavey said that everyone is gasping about:
"Your social media presence is just as important as your real life presence."
Is it just selfies Lavey is trying to appear better for? She seems to care an awful lot about selfies instead of every other aspect of her life. At least she's satisfied with the results of her $15k plastic surgery. Hopefully it'll stay that way. We all know how hard it is to be happy with what we have when it comes to our looks!
