- CORKY MILLER, Cincinnati Reds: Miller struck out as a pinch-hitter in a 10-9 loss to Oakland. He is now hitting .200 this spring.
- LYLE OVERBAY, Boston Red Sox: Overbay, hitting .242 this spring, struck out as a pinch-hitter for Mike Napoli in the second inning in a 6-1 win over Philadelphia. He also stayed in the game to play first base.
- CHRIS DICKERSON, Baltimore Orioles: Dickerson was 0-for-1 and played center field in a 0-0 tie with Pittsburgh. He is hitting .310 this spring.
- JAKE McGEE, Tampa Bay Rays: The Reed High graduate pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 3-1 loss to Toronto. He allowed a hit and a walk and got three ground ball outs in lowering his spring ERA to 5.68.
- STEVE LERUD, Philadelphia Phillies: Lerud, a Galena High graduate, was a pinch-runner for fellow catcher Carlos Ruiz in the ninth inning of a 6-1 loss to Boston.
- SCOTT COUSINS, Los Angeles Angels: Cousins played right field and did not get an at-bat in a 10-9 loss to Texas. The North Valleys High graduate is hitting .190 this spring.
