Wolf Pack's Meyer named Mountain West Player of the Week

Nevada Wolf Pack first baseman Kewby Meyer was named the Mountain West Player of the Week on Monday.

The sophomore left-hander was 6-for-15 in four games with three runs scored and five RBI.

Meyer was 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI and a walk in an 11-10 win at UC Davis last Tuesday. On Friday, in a 3-2 win over Air Force, Meyer was 0-for-2 but drove in an important run with a sacrifice fly. The following day on Saturday, in a 6-1 win over Air Force, he was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two doubles. On Sunday he went 1-for-5 in a 7-3 loss.

Meyer is hitting .368 this season with six doubles two homers and 13 RBI.
