Wolf Pack looking for special teams players

You say you want to play football for the Nevada Wolf Pack?

Well, here's your chance.

The Wolf Pack will conduct an open tryout for University of Nevada students only on March 27 for potential kickers, punters and long-snappers.

All participants must have had a physical within the last year, must have proof of insurance and must complete a waiver before the tryout.

“We are excited about the opportunity to evaluate athletes from our student body and hope to identify a couple of people who might be able to help our team in the pursuit of a Mountain West Conference championship,” head coach Brian Polian said.

Registration for the open tryout is at 4 p.m. on the March 27 with the tryout to begin at 4:30 p.m. at Mackay Stadium. Participants should also arrive dressed and ready to work out in position specific drills and competition.

For more information on the tryout, please contact Wolf Pack Director of Player Personnel Andy Vaughn at (775) 784-6880 or at avaughn@unr.edu.
