WKU Hilltoppers pull last bat heroics again against Privateers; Win 13-7

WKU beat New Orleans in a 10 inning battle Sunday to make a weekend sweep of the Privateers. The score for Sunday's game was 13-7, but required some last out heroics by Kes Carter.

The Hilltoppers were behind with two outs in the ninth. Carter knotted the game at seven

Saturday WKU followed a similar script with a two out home run rally win against NOLA. Earlier in the season the WKU squad pulled out a ninth inning RBI two bagger starting a rally that led to an eventual win.

The conference series sweep on the road was WKU's first since winning three games at UALR May 14-16, 2004. WKU also won its first series at New Orleans since 2003.

Next: WKU is set for a home-and-home series against nationally-ranked Vanderbilt, facing the Commodores in Nashville on Tuesday and then returning to Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green for another showdown with Vanderbilt on Wednesday.
