Western Kentucky University plays Florida Atlantic tonight, and on the line is a possible #3 seed in the Sun Belt Tournament and a bye in the first round.
The Hilltoppers are one a four-game winning streak and need two more wins to have a shot to win the East Division.
The Sun Belt Conference is all knotted up and the tie-breaker scenarios are mind-boggling. But WKU needs to win the next two road games and Troy needs to lose to get the coveted bye seed.
WKUSports.com come broke it down this way:
"In one of the closest Sun Belt Conference races in history, seven teams in the two divisions are separated by a mere one-game. With two games to play, WKU could finish as high as first or as low as seventh based on numerous outcomes and tiebreakers. One key scenario to watch is: a pair of wins by WKU combined with one loss from Troy and two Louisiana-Lafayette wins would have the Hilltoppers winning a combined tiebreaker and claiming the all-important third seed--and its bye."
