On Friday, December 20th, an administrator for the official World Wide Web site for WKRG-TV posted an article there notifying members of the general public that December 20th was the first day in which they may register their selves for the 11th annual Senior Bowl Superstar competition in which they may win the chance to sing the Star-Spangled Banner (the national anthem of the United States) before the start of the Senior Bowl, a collegiate football game scheduled to take place at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile on Saturday January 25th, 2014, and a prize of $1000 through a process that would involve appearing on WKRG-TV's local morning news program ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") between January 6th (a Monday) and January 10th (a Friday) and having the highest number of Internet votes based on their performances for the program.
