By the evening of Tuesday, January 8th, Tiffany McCall of WKRG-TV had filed a news report for the station featuring an interview with Vivien Hecker, the mother of Timothy Hecker, a neurologist in Mobile and husband to Devon Walsh, a news presenter and a reporter for the station. The report was about the time Vivien Hecker and her brother were robbed at the Catholic Cemetery in Mobile on Monday, January 7th.
By Wednesday, January 9th, WKRG-TV had broadcast the report more than one time during their local news programming, including the program that was produced between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m with Devon Walsh in the role of news presenter (she usually presented morning newscasts and 12:00 p.m. newscasts for the station). She told her TV audience "in the interest of full disclosure" that Vivien Hecker was her "mother-in-law" each time she introduced the report between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. She also expressed her personal feelings about the details of the robbery immediately after one of the times the report was broadcast again.
(update: rephrased second sentence of second paragraph; added time period for Devon Walsh introducing Tiffany McCall's report with "full disclosure")
