Universal Orlando released a new video on YouTube today with a look at the goblins inside Gringotts Bank at Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. The highly anticipated new Harry Potter attraction is set to open this summer, but an official announcement of the grand opening date has been a long time coming.
The designers at Universal Orlando have really outdone themselves with the animatronic goblins. Their appearance and movement are so lifelike that they seem to be real. The Gringotts Bank attraction is very elaborate, and will be a fully immersive experience for muggle visitors.
It’s expected that Universal Orlando will finally make the official announcement of the grand opening date for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley sometime next week. The Today Show’s Al Roker did some filming on site at WWoHP Diagon Alley recently and the show announced that they will be holding a WWoHP – Diagon Alley sweepstakes. Winners will be able to attend the grand opening. The Sweepstakes begins Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Click here to visit the sweepstakes page.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature a London street front with Number 12 Grimmauld Place and the Knight Bus. Visitors will be able to experience the iconic shops of Diagon Alley featured in the Harry Potter book series, as well as enjoy a meal at the Leaky Cauldron and Wizarding World treats like the unusual ice cream flavors at Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour. Fans can then head to King’s Cross Station, go through the brick wall to platform 9 ¾ and travel to Hogsmeade via the Hogwarts Express. It will also possible to go to WWoHP Hogsmeade first and then take the Hogwarts Express to Diagon Alley.
So be sure to tune in to the Today Show next week for some looks at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley and for information about the sweepstakes.
