Wizard World Comic Con is coming to Portland (Photos)

On Feb. 7 PR director Jerry Milani of Wizard World Comic Con contacted me about the upcoming Comic Con coming to Portland Feb. 22-24. For Portlanders looking for the ultimate place to get their nerd on, Comic Con is the best place to do so. Not only will comic legends be there, but also many famous faces that many Portlanders would die to meet.

Fans can have the chance to meet such stars as "Walking Dead" Dixon brothers Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus, "Boondock Saints" stars Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco, "Homeland" star Morena Baccarin, "WWE" Superstar The Miz, Henry Winkler, James Marsters of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, James Hong of "Balls of Fury", Lou Ferrigno, several more celebrity panels from some of your favorite shows.

Comic book legends such as Stan Lee, Dean Cain, Chris Claremont, creator of “Uncanny X-Men,” and “Spider-Man”, Carlos Pacheco, creator of “Green Lantern,” and “Wolverine”, Mike Deodato Jr. creator of “Wonder Woman,” and “Batman”, Eisner Award winner Kurt Busiek of “Superman” fame, Kaare Andrews writer of “Astonishing X-Men,” and “Iron Man” and the “Zombie King” Arthur Suydam, creator of “Marvel Zombies,” and “Army of Darkness”.

The three day event is free for children 10 and under when accompanied by a paying adult. There will be several kid friendly events and everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favorite comic character. Tickets are available online or at the door at the Oregon Convention Center.
