Earlier today, anime publisher Sentai Filmworks confirmed that it has acquired the supernatural action series, “Wizard Barristers”, for release in North America.

“Wizard Barristers” is a 12-episode anime series produced by Studio ARMS, the studio behind “Queen’s Blade: Rebellion”, also published in North America by Sentai Filmworks. The anime is directed by Yasuomi Umetsu (Mezzo DSA) and features scripts from Michiko Itou (Day Break Illusion). It began airing on Japanese television earlier this month.

The series takes place in a world where magic users exist alongside normal humans and follows Cecil Sudo, the youngest Benmashi, a wizard tasked with defending magic users that break the law, in history. Cecil works for the Butterfly Law Offices and despite her young age, she is determined to defend the accused to the best of her abilities.

“Wizard Barristers” will be available through select digital outlets soon and Sentai Filmworks is also planning a home video release. No exact details about the home release were given at this time.
