The road hasn’t been an easy one as they have worked so hard to get to this point particularly without signing with a record label. The band was formed in 2005 while attending the University of Alabama. In 2006, they performed their single, “Hold” live on the hit television show, One Tree Hill. Best known for their high-energy live performances, in 2007, they received awards for “Rock Band of the Year” as well as “Performer of the Year” in the BAMA Awards. Last year they beat out more than 2,500 bands to win the Grammy’s Gig-of-a-Lifetime contest where they opened up a week-long event performing at the famous Clive Davis Theater in Los Angeles. While there, they were sponsored by Microsoft to promote its Surface tablet filming the video for the ballad, “We’ll Have It All”. The video can be seen here.

They have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the rock world today including Buckcherry, Chevelle, Hinder, Saving Abel, Black Stone Cherry, 12 Stones, Pop Evil amongst others. They have performed at some of the biggest rock festivals in the country including Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, Fort Rock, and most recently, Welcome to Rockville.

Bassist, David Koonce explains how much this milestone means to them, “It’s something that we’ve been working on for so long and planning it out. We’re not the first band to do it, but one of the first to make it happen for ourselves, on our own, without any label. It’s a big deal for us to finally start seeing the abs come in. We didn’t have any help with it, we did it ourselves”.

Plans for a tour this spring are being finalized, so be sure to check their website for dates and cities. In addition, they have confirmed some dates for this summer’s Monster Energy Uproar Tour with some of the biggest names in rock today!

Hold on tight, this band is about to take off!
