In case you have not heard, there is another Republican debate coming up this Saturday, November 19th which will not be televised but will be streamed live by CitizenLink.com and broadcast on Christian talk radio here. It is being presented by The Family Leader and being billed as the, "Thanksgiving Family Forum" which is scheduled to begin at 5pm ET. It will be held at the First Federated Church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mitt Romney remains unconfirmed for this event and is reported to be skipping this debate in favor of other scheduled campaign appearances. I guess his challengers and their supporters can't rightfully complain about Romney getting too much time in this one and maybe we will actually get to hear more from the other candidates.
We would hope that the producers of this event will finally give equal time and questions to each of the candidates attending. It is a shame that the former Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson has been seemingly blacklisted from most of the debates so far and has recently decided to file a formal complaint with the FEC and FCC because of his unfair treatment. Good luck to his campaign in their efforts but unfortunately our American political system had become unbelievably Un-American a very long time ago.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media is finally having to admit what they seem to hate to even whisper about, that possibly Congressman Ron Paul should be considered one of the frontrunners. I laid out in a recent article some reasons why possibly the mainstream media has not been reporting adequately on his overwhelming and consistent victories in the straw polls that have been conducted throughout the State of California and how that could indeed add to crushing the myth of him supposedly being unelectable.
So with a 4-way statistical deadheat for first place in the latest Bloomberg Iowa poll, the recent problems in the Cain camp, controversies over Newt's lobbying income, the blasting of CBS for only giving Ron Paul 89 seconds to speak in the last debate and the fact that this debate will not be televised, I expect this one to be a very good debate to tune into.
