Syracuse University today had this to say about Saturday's sold-out men's basketball game against Georgetown.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic delays and lines at Dome entrances.
The Dome will open to spectators at 2:00 p.m., two hours before tip-off against Georgetown.
All Syracuse University parking lots will open at 11:00 a.m. All Stadium west and campus lots are sold out. Fans who do not have a parking permit (season or individual game) are encourage to use the Skytop parking lot ($12 per car), which will open at 11:00 a.m. To access the Skytop parking lot, use Rt. 481 and exit at Brighton Ave. All parking areas to the West of the Carrier Dome are permit only.
Fans can also park at Drumlins for the same price as the Skytop Lot. Centro buses will stop at Drumlins starting at 2:30 p.m. and after games as part of the shuttle system from the Dome. Interested participants should get to the Drumlins Lot by exciting rt. 481 at Jamesville Road and taking Nottingham Road to the parking lot.
Have patience as it will be packed at every turn going to and leaving the game. For those not having ever been to the Dome, heed these warnings and plan ahead. Every vending area will be packed as will restrooms for much of the afternoon. Patience, consideration, and a game plan for yourself and those you are with will make it an excellent experience.
