You can take comfort, when life throws you a curveball, in this thought: “If God can part the Red Sea, he can untie this little knot.”
That knot can be seemingly insurmountable to us. An unforeseen medical condition, a death in the family, a relationship gone awry. It could be any of the myriad obstacles we encounter in this life that we just simply do not understand. But this truth remains unchanged: with God, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37).
Does this mean he will ‘bail us out’ of every uncomfortable situation and every problem we come across in life? No. If life was free of trials, how would we ever learn or grow? This life is a time for us to be tested and tried. Proven, to see if we will obey the commandments, live in faith, and overcome ourselves. We each have our own lessons to learn, our own gifts to receive, our own trials to overcome.
If it be His will, God can untie that knot. He can make sense out of what does not make sense to us. We cannot understand all things, but thankfully, we have a loving Heavenly Father who does. He is with us through the best of days and the toughest of trials. He lifts us, strengthens us, and is our constant friend.
