As we celebrate the return of the Spring, there is a dazzle of light happening at the American Legion Hall in New Boston, 37060 Huron River Drive, New Boston, Michigan, where the Witches of Michigan will be holding their Art and Craft Show / Sale on Saturday April 5th from Noon til 8:00 pm. You may have attended their Holiday Art and Craft Fair this past Yule.
This dedicated and beloved group, known for family friendly spiritual fun, is hosting this event to raise funds for the Universal Society of Ancient Ministry and the Michigan Pagan College Scholarship Fund. Also, as always, they will be accepting donations for Pagans In Need.
Some of the treasures you can find at this event include:
- Hand Made Quilts
- Jewelry of all kinds - some hand crafted
- Hand Created Wands
- Vintage and New Items
- Wine Bottle Lamps
- and much more
A 50/50 Raffle and Door Prize are also part of the event.
Donations to Pagans In Need are also open to being gift cards. These should be given to Merlyn Firstborn, and in exchange, those who donate them will be entered into the drawing for a beautifully made Hand Twisted Copper Wand valued at $120.00. He really outdid himself, and it is a wonder to see.
This group observes the custom of potluck and asks that if you are able, to bring a dish to pass. For those who are creative in their cookery, it is kind to label any exotic ingredients that may contain foods that can cause an allergic reaction.
For those who are collectors, be on the look out for the Spoon and Fork jewelry. A favorite among those here in the Midwest, you do not get to see these around as much anymore at local shows. It is an art that many snap up at the first opportunity. The last great spot to find them that this writer recalls was in Trapper's Alley in Greektown.
So come on out and have a good time, soak up the Sun (hope Springs eternally), and contribute to some good causes.
