It seems like fans of “Witches of East End” have been waiting forever for information regarding Season 2. A few weeks ago the new promo was released, but there was still no official word on the premiere date. Fans speculated the show would return in June, but that was not the case. According to a May 8 post on the official “Witches of East End” Facebook page, Season 2 will begin on July 6. This means fans are just two months away from finding out what happened when the door to Asgard opened.

The new season is being referred to as “Darkness is Rising,” which leads to speculation that Season 2 will be darker than anything seen during Season 1. Asgard was being opened as the season finale aired, and it looks like that will be the setting for Season 2. There are plenty of characters to meet while in Asgard, including Ingrid and Freya's brother and grandfather.

Fans are excited and posting about it all over social media. Twitter is buzzing with fans using the hashtag “witchees,” which is what the stars of the show call their fans. It is amazing how far the show has come from the premiere episode. Fans are spread out throughout the world, with many countries just being able to see Season 1 for the first time.

Right now there hasn't been information released on how many episodes will be part of Season 2. The first season was shorter than normal because it was a test-run for the Lifetime network. This isn't a typical show they air, but fans were drawn to it immediately. There are several surprises coming up for Season 2, and fans are looking forward to every minute of it. “Witches of East End” will return to the same day and time slot, Sunday nights at 9 p.m. CT.
