"Wisdom's Instruction!"(Proverbs 15:33)

Wisdom's instruction is to fear the Lord and humility comes before honor."(Proverbs 15:33)

Instructions come with most products. They tell you how the item was made and with what materials/ingredients. They may tell how to assemble or prepare it if food. The instructions are for the benefit of purchaser. It is up to them to heed or ignore the instructions. It is best to follow the instructions closely as possible to avoid a negative affect on the product. A wrong use or failure to use it properly could render the product inoperable or beyond consumption.

God is the source of instructions for believers in Jesus. He is the wisdom of the Holy Bible. The Word of God gives instructions to fear the Lord and keep His commandments. Blessings come to those who follow and obey Biblical instruction. The opposite occurs for those doing the wrong or failure to properly adhere to the right proper way to carry out God’s requirements.

Refusal to follow God’s instructions is sin and rebellion. Pride is being arrogant plus professing to know better than the Creator. It is like ignoring the manufacturer’s care and warning’s label for the product. This response leads to destruction. Destruction is the separation of a life with God for eternity. One has a choice in the matter and can choose a blessed path. This path chosen leads toward humility and honor.

The opposite is willingly submitting to God and joyously obeying His Word. Humility is the pathway of this person’s actions. He or she seeks the wisdom to acquire the right way to render life operable. Believers in Jesus have chosen the right pathway and have the Holy Spirit to counsel them. He leads them into the truth. They have honored God through His Son and will also receive honor.

Believer, you have chosen to follow God’s instructions to follow His Son, Jesus. The Holy Spirit is your help to keep you on the path. Let humility be your guide and be honored by God. He honors those who honor Him.
