Wisconsin toddler dies from dog attack

According to Walworth County Today News, a 14-month-old boy died Wednesday afternoon in Walworth Township, Wisconsin, after he was attacked by two pit bull dogs belonging to his babysitter. The dogs' owner was also bitten.

The Walworth County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call shortly before 1 p.m. from a woman who said she and the toddler were being attacked. The dogs were removed from the home and later euthanized.

The child was initially transported to Mercy Walworth Medical Center and then flown to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.

Young children and the elderly are among those most likely to be attacked by dogs.
