Wisconsin Public Television's 30 Minute Music Hour films live at Holiday

Wisconsin Public Television's 30 Minute Music Hour is set to film live at the Holiday Music Motel this Saturday, February 2, 2013. The WPT music series was started in 2008 and features artists in the independent music scene around Wisconsin and the country. The 30 Minute Music Hour has become one of the most popular shows on WPT.

Produced and hosted by Andy Moore, the show's first segment included pat mAcdonald. Supporting mAcdonald from the wings during filming was melaniejane, a singer and songwriter in her own right. Both musicians were maintaining strong solo careers at the time, but eventually came together to form the duo Purgatory Hill, which has since released two albums.

Along with touring as Purgatory Hill, melaniejane and pat mAcdonald have worked together on the annual songwriting festival known as Steel Bridge Songfest and maintained the Holiday Music Motel located in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. While the motel is one of Sturgeon Bay's best and has a lengthy history dating back to the '50s, it is also an intricate part of the music scene in Door County boasting many music events throughout the year including, but not limited to Love on Holiday, Steel Bridge Songfest and Dark Songs.

The 30 Minute Music Hour will film this Saturday in the lobby at the Holiday Music Motel. Purgatory Hill along with special guests Paul Cebar and the instrumental duo Loves It! will be a part of the segment. Although filming is closed to the public, the episodes from this will air sometime in March.
