Wintry mix of precipitation to affect the Clarksville area tonight

Another sunny day is expected for the Clarksville area today as temperatures will once again struggle to reach freezing. Overnight tonight, temperatures will fall into the middle twenties as a weak system moves through. Sleet and freezing rain will begin to fall after midnight Thursday night and will last into Friday afternoon. Little to no ice accumulation is expected with this system, but with the cold temperatures it will only take a little bit of precipitation to make bridges and overpasses slick. Looking to the weekend, skies will be mostly sunny Saturday before the next system begins to approach the area with more rain showers for Sunday.
