Winter might actually be coming to Minnesota after all, if the temperatures today are any indication. While this girl definitely prefers the record-busting 50s we enjoyed earlier in the week; there are plenty of ways to make it through the cooler temps without sacrificing style.
There is a temptation when the temperature drops to get lazy about how we look because it seems like a choice between function and fashion. We're here to say, don't! Please. Don't be that guy at the office. Instead, check out some of our favorite tips for winterizing your work look and stay ahead of the curve this winter:
- Rock a wool tie. Need some tie tips? Check out our Tie Guide here.
- Yes, you can wear a parka with a suit. Just make sure that it's a dark color, in good shape, and LONGER than your suit jacket. We totally *heart* this Barbour version at J.Crew, but for a cheaper option, check out Uniqlo's down parka.
- Throw a scarf on. For more on ways to wear it, check out our "how to" guide
- Tread on. Don't be afraid to wear a pair of boots with some serious edge with your work duds, just be prepared to own this edgier look. We like this pair from Cole Haan; pair it with a pair of slim-cut, cuffed dress pants.
