Last fall I spent a glorious three days at the spectacular Wintergreen Resort, an 11,000-acre four-season resort located in the Blue Ridge Mountains southwest of Charlottesville, VA. You can read about my trip by clicking here. Wintergreen is a one-of-a-kind resort community that boasts nearly 270 condominiums and homes ranging from basic studio suites to luxurious seven-bedroom houses. Guests enjoy 45 holes of championship golf; snow skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing with ultra modern snow making capabilities; an award-winning tennis program and of course a relaxing nature-inspired full-service spa.

Now The Spa at Wintergreen Resort, situated atop Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is capitalizing on autumn’s harvest to weave nurturing botanical extracts from yam and pumpkin enzymes into a trio of new fall spa treatments. Make a full day out of your spa visit which includes access to the adjacent Aquatic & Fitness Center with indoor pool, workout equipment and outdoor Jacuzzis with mountain views. The spa relaxation area features two walls of windows through which guests can observe the stunning natural setting that surrounds the resort.

With its three fall seasonal treatments, Wintergreen Resort and its Wintergreen Spa are offering up the perfect recipe to rejuvenate sun-dried summer skin and prep it for winter. Back by popular demand, and available September through November, spa-goers will be able to choose from the Pumpkin Chai Pampering, Autumn Harvest Facial and Wrap, and Harvest Manicure.

Here’s a closer look at the autumn offerings designed to recharge and refresh:

Pumpkin Chai Pampering - This 50-minute sugar scrub treatment uses all natural Woodsprite products to replenish and exfoliate skin. The scrub is followed by a Vichy shower to rinse away stress, which leaves the body primed for the hydrating application of pumpkin chai oil and lotion. Warm stones are then placed on the back to increase circulation and ease muscle aches. This treatment is priced at $115 on weekends and $105 midweek.

Autumn Harvest Facial and Wrap - With Eminence Yam, Pumpkin Enzyme Peel and Pumpkin Latte Hydration Masque as the main ingredients, this treatment has a genuine “fall” feel to it. It begins with a nourishing 25-minute facial that uses the yam and pumpkin enzyme peel, and is combined with a 25-minute hydrating full-body oil wrap that provides a protective barrier to prepare skin for the cold months ahead. This treatment is priced at $120 weekends and $110 midweek.

Harvest Manicure - This UV Gel Signature Manicure, lasting a heavenly 80 minutes, incorporates hand exfoliation treatment with nourishing and aromatic apple and cinnamon oils. A relaxing hand and arm massage is accompanied by local apple cider to sip. An added bonus, there is no drying time after application and it can last up to 14 days without chipping. This treatment is priced at $70 weekend and $65 midweek.
