Winterfest and the U.S. Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition is being held in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin this weekend February 4-5, 2012. The sculptors have been at Riviera Park, working on their artistic snow sculptures this week for the big event over the weekend.
The weekend in downtown Lake Geneva is filled with family friendly activities, including sing-a-longs, music, wagon rides and helicopter rides. The center of attraction is the snow sculpting competition at Riviera Park. The U.S. Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition attracts artists from around the world to create impressive works of art out of large blocks of snow.
The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is also offering activities on Saturday. The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa Winter Carnival includes ski school and ski patrol demonstration, snowboarding, skiing competitions, children's activities and games. The carnival, which runs from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., concludes with a torchlight parade and a fireworks display at 8:00 p.m.
