Winter wonders event at International Wildlife Museum (Video)

The January 2013 special event at the International Wildlife Museum is the Winter Wonders event on Saturday, January 5, 2013. The event is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is a fun family event for learning more about winter animal.

At the Winter Wonders event there will be different activities to help explain the different ways that animals survive the winter. The main featured activity is sticking your hand in fake blubber to help understand how blubber keeps marine animals warm in cold water. Other activities include crafts and scavenger hunts.

About the International Wildlife Museum: The International Wildlife Museum has a variety of exhibits featuring animal specimens. The museum is located at 4800 W Gates Pass Rd, Tucson, AZ. The normal hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission varies from $8 for adults to $3 for ages 4 to 12 and free for ages 3 and under.
