The  Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Show is a drive through festival of lights presented by the Village of Vernon Hills in cooperation with the Cuneo Museum and Gardens in Vernon Hills. The light show is a Lake County, Illinois tradition that opened on Friday November 27, 2009 and runs through January 2, 2010. Driving through the Winter Wonderland is a magical holiday experience for kids and adults.

Cuneo Museum is the mansion that was owned by Sam Insull and later the Cuneo family, of Cuneo Press in Chicago. The beautifully landscaped ground are fancifully illuminated with lights and figures during the Holiday season. The drive through the light show is great family activity or romantic date. Take a leisurely drive through the Winter Wonderland and enjoy the magic of the holidays. The Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Show is $5 per car on Mondays through Thursday and $10 per car on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Light show hours are 6 to 10 PM

Cuneo Mansion is also offering Mansion tours for the holiday season. The Mansion tours are  separate tour from the Winter Wonderland Holiday Light Show. Visit the Magical Cuneo Museum – A Glimpse of the Past, a walk through tour of the historic mansion with Victorian style decorations. The mansion tour, which runs from December 8 – 12, between the hours of 6 and 8:30 pm costs $7 per person and is free for children under 15 years. The mansion tour is not included in the Winter wonderland Holiday Light Show.

The Cuneo Museum is near the the northwest intersection of Route 21 (Milwaukee Avenue) and Route 60 in Vernon Hills, Illinois (behind Westfield Hawthorne Mall). Enter from Route 60, west of intersection of 21 and 60.
