Much of Texas will get to enjoy one more day of warm temperatures on Wednesday before a very strong cold front arrives on Thursday. Behind the front, rain chances will increase, temperatures will drop, and northerly winds will pick up. Friday and Saturday will likely be wet and chilly days, with high temperatures struggling to reach 40 degrees across the area! North Texas has a good chance of freezing rain, sleet, and snow this weekend as temperatures here may not get above freezing for several days. Freezing rain and sleet could even fall as far south as the Texas Hill Country and Brazos Valley this weekend. Rain chances will decrease on Sunday night but chilly temperatures will likely continue through early next week.
