Winter storm warning for Monday evening through Tuesday (Video)

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that will be in effect beginning at 3 PM Monday and will expire at 3 PM Tuesday. The National Weather Service is expecting a widespread 6-10 inches with the heaviest amounts being from Kansas City southwestward. Over a foot of snowfall is expected from Kansas City through Wichita.

The snow should begin to fall across the area beginning around 3PM tomorrow and will last through Tuesday afternoon. The heaviest snow will late Monday night through Tuesday morning.

The other major factor with this storm will be the strong winds. The wind will be from the north up to 30 mph Tuesday morning and that will create near whiteout conditions.
