Winter Storm Nemo has cancelled thousands of flights across the Northeast and now worship services within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Due to the potential risks of the storm, which is expected to bring more than 10 inches of snow and strong winds, many pastors have chosen to keep their church doors closed on Saturday. Church conference town hall meetings have also been cancelled.
Many congregants will spend Sabbath at home with their families or tune in to live services streamed online through Praizevision and Church Pond. Some churches plan to hold service as usual, allow extra travel time, or close in the afternoon.
According to the Northeastern Conference Communication Department, the following churches in New York State will be closed on Saturday (as of 10 a.m. on Feb. 9):

Mamre (Brooklyn, NY)
Mount Moriah (Brooklyn, NY)
Mount Sinai (Queens Village, NY)
Mount Vernon (Mt. Vernon, NY)
New Dimension (Brooklyn, NY)
