Winter storm brings threat of snow zombies to Colorado (Photos)

With supply lines taut and highways treacherous due to this weekend’s snow storm pounding the Rocky Mountain and Eastern United States, now is the time to be vigilant of snow zombies.
Even more desperate than usual due to the diminished availability of living flesh, they are becoming bolder, venturing further into urban areas from their hiding spots in the hills and sewers.
When bundled up with hoods and scarves, the living can not hear and see them as quickly. Icy sidewalks and heavy clothes can make it more difficult to run away.
Fortunately, there are two key factors in our favor.
The zombies have even more limited agility on ice and snow than we do. Remember, their greatest strength is still in their tendency to hunt in packs.
Also, without protective wear, the undead freeze faster and can be easily incapacitated. If you find one frozen to the ground, do not toy with it. Dispatch it immediately by playing a little “mailbox baseball” with its head.

Locally, for your baseball and snow shoveling supplies, check out the Super Target in Longmont at 551 South Hover Road. The new line of Louisville Sluggers just arrived for spring.
