A winter snow storm causes major delays at Denver International Airport Friday. The winter snow is expected to continue through midnight tonight and will affect the Rockies and the central Plains.
Five to ten inches of snow is expected to fall Friday over the Denver area. The Denver International Airport is reporting significant delays and cancellations. The airport recommends calling your airline carrier to check the status of your flight.
The snow storm has hit several areas in Utah, from Salt Lake City to the east. In Salt Lake City a bizarre mix of weather has hit the city with snow fall, to blue skies and sunshine at the same time.
Up to 12 inches of snow is expected in some areas of Oklahoma and south central Kansas. Wichita and Oklahoma City are expecting 8-10 inches of heavy snow by Saturday night.
Missouri and southern sections of Wisconsin are expecting rain that will turn into snow through Saturday, with temperatures as low as 25 degrees.
