The National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) kicked off the New Year with its 25th Annual Winter Park Open at Winter Park Resort. This year, 74 athletes from nine countries, including the U.S., Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Iceland, Chile, Australia, Canada and Great Britain came to compete for spots on the U.S. National or Paralympic National team.
“I’m very proud of all of the athletes who came out to this year’s Winter Park Open,” said Erik Petersen, competition director for NSCD. “It was a great success, every year I’m amazed at the talent showcased at this event.”
The NSCD had more than 15 additional athletes place in the events as well. Here are the winners for the races:

The Winter Park Open is also hosted by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing, USA Paralympics and the United States Paralympic Committee.
