The Winter Jam Tour is coming back to EMU’s Convocation Center Thursday, March 31st. Winter Jam is one of the largest Christian concert tours in the U.S. with 47 confirmed dates this year spanning from January 7th to April 3rd. The Ypsilanti stop will mark the 44th of the tour which should make it an exceptionally good show.
Winter Jam is a sixteen year tradition but this year, it’s going bigger! The tour, hosted by GRAMMY®-nominated NewSong, features the Newsboys; David Crowder Band; Kutless; Francesca Battistelli; RED; KJ-52, and guest speaker Tony Nolan. In addition, the show includes a Pre-Jam Party presented by the American Bible Society with the Sidewalk Prophets, Chris August and Chris Sligh.
Winter Jam is one of the few Christian tours with a primary concern of seeing lives changed by Christ. Though it may be argued that these “astronomical” numbers (74,600 to date) are little more than “seed-planting,” the tour still does a sincere job of evangelizing and proclaiming Christ’s saving power.
“It’s amazing and humbling to see how God has continued to bless the Winter Jam Tour over all these years," says NewSong's Eddie Carswell. Show is this Thursday, March 31 at the EMU Convocation center. Doors open at 6 P.M. and the pre-jam starts at 6:05, you will not want to miss this part! Main show begins at 7 P.M. Tickets for this event are just $10 but just a tip, there is no pre-sale on tickets – door sales only so make sure you get there EARLY!
