The Olympic Team Figure Skating Competition continues on Saturday for the Sochi Winter Games. The fans will be delighted to see Team USA on the ice once again in the new event for 2014. Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir will be focused the pairs free skate competition in hopes to bring up the team score. According to the Mercury News on Friday, the pairs portion of the Olympic sport will be important to the team score.

Currently Team USA is tied for fifth position, but there is a possibility that the Americans could medal. It would take a miracle, but anything is possible, especially when it comes to the magic on the ice.

The hometown skaters, Russians Tatiana Volosozhar and Maxim Trankov will have the crowd amped up once again as they take the ice for a chance to bring home the gold. One of several portions of the event, the fans can see the Russians (along with the rest of the teams) in the cheering boxes giving the athletes on the ice complete support.

For fans watching the Olympic Team Figure Skating Competition the event will air live on NBCSN. Currently, Team USA might have a tough time getting to the top of the leaderboard.
