On Sunday, November 7, the Fort Collins Farmers’ Market moves inside the Foothills Mall for its first winter season. The market will be held just inside the main entrance to the Mall, with chile roasting outside (weather permitting).

This market will feature local seasonal produce, such as apples, pumpkins, winter squashes, cabbages, beets and carrots. Also available will be grass-fed beef, honey, ristras, wines, coffees, frozen fruit pies, baked goods, pastas, lotions, tamales, jams, and jewelry.

The markets will continue on alternating Sundays from 11 am—3 pm. The dates of the Winter Farmers’ Market at Foothills Mall are November 7 and 21, December 5 and 19, January 9 and 23, February 6 and 20, March 6 and 20, April 3 and 17.

These markets are sponsored by the Colorado Agricultural Marketing Cooperative, which has been putting on farmers’ markets in Fort Collins and
Loveland for over 25 years. The Foothills Mall has also been generous in their support of this effort to extend the season for our regional farmers and ranchers.

The markets accept EBT cards, plus debit and credit cards. These services are a result of grants by the Colorado Department of Agriculture and support from the Colorado Farmers’ Market Association. Most of the vendors will be members of Colorado Proud.

At this time, there is still room for additional local producers. Please visit www.fortnet.org/market or telephone (970) 218-5521 for more information.
