Farmers Markets in the summer used to be the norm everywhere but stopped some time ago. In recent years, the trend has been to bring them back in the late spring through the fall harvest. Most of the time, they feature local farms and bakers selling their goods to local communities.
Most of the time, these farmers markets are hosted outside under tents and from back of trucks in local parks, parking lots or fields. February is not typically a good month here is Massachusetts to go to an outdoor Farmer's Market, but in Dedham, you are not able to go to one.
Now open is a weekly Dedham Square Country Market held every Sunday from 10am to 2pm at the Odd Fellows building at 626 High Street (next to Nest). The owner of the local farm, "Lemon Thyme Farm", Greg Agnew helped to organize the market.
Vendors will include:
- Jordan Brothers Seafood
- On the Common Bakery
- Freitas Farm
- C&C Lobster
- Lemon Thyne Farm
- Best Friends Cocoa
- To Dine For
