Winter dryness and healing your skin

Moisturize your skin with oils. Organic Sesame and Coconut oils are often found in groceries and in health food stores. The reason oils help your skin heal is because they restore the function of the skin making it work as it should. Most moisturizers just touch the surface of the skin. When you moisturize with oil the natural moisturizing factor in your skin carries the oil deeper into the skin.

Creams and lotions have 70 - 80% water in their ingredients and mainly work on the outer layers. When using oils to moisturize try using them in the bath or shower. Apply the oils on your wet skin and activate the natural healing process.
